Sherri and James Flournoy are co-founders of Flournoy Consultation, PLLC, and established the partnership in 2009.

Flournoy Consultations PLLC is a behavioral health practice based in Hollis, Queens. Our mission is to support the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of individuals and families who live in the Queens Community and surrounding areas.

Sherri M. Flournoy

LCSWR

Sherri M. Flournoy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSWR). Mrs. Flournoy received a BA in Psychology from St. John’s University and an MSW from Hunter College School of Social Work. She received a certificate in Seminar Training in Social Work Field Instruction (SIFI) from Adelphi University and post-graduate training in child and adolescent services at the Advanced Institute For Analytic Psychotherapy.

Mrs. Flournoy served as an administrator, clinician, advocate, mentor, coach, educator, and trainer to several organizations throughout New York City and Nassau County. Her professional career spans over 30 years, affording her the opportunity and privilege to provide emotional support to a multitude of individuals and families.

Mrs. Flournoy worked as an adjunct lecturer for 10 years and taught undergraduate students in the Social Sciences Department with the City University of New York. Also, Mrs. Flournoy has been recognized and received several awards, acknowledging her commitment to community service. Most recently, in March 2019, she has been recognized for her leadership by the NAACP Lakeview Youth Council.

Mrs. Flournoy remains passionate and committed to pursuing the availability of behavioral healthcare services in underserved communities. She continues to work diligently in reducing the stigma and disparities of substance use disorder.

James L. Flournoy

LCSWR, CASAC-M

James L. Flournoy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSWR) and a Master Credential Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC).

He received his Bachelor of Arts from York College, CUNY in Social Work, a Master of Social Work from New York University, and a certificate in Seminar Training in Social Work Field Instruction (SIFI) from Adelphi University. In addition, James has extensive training in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy.

James specializes in providing behavioral health services to individuals and families affected by substance use disorder and his experience in the Substance use field spans over thirty years.

James served as an administrator, clinician, coach, educator, and trainer to several organizations throughout the New York. In addition, James worked as an adjunct lecturer for 10 years and taught undergraduate students in the CASAC studies program at St Josephs College.

James is committed to serving individuals and families who are impacted by the devastation of substance use disorder and continues to work diligently to provide behavioral health services to all individuals in need.
